House of Petra

About The Project

Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Berawa, Canggu, this private residence is a haven of quiet elegance and timeless inspiration. Its thoughtful layout comprises two distinct buildings, connected by a sunlit outdoor decking area. The design balances individuality and unity, allowing each building to function independently or as one expansive home. This seamless flow between spaces creates a unique sense of versatility, with moments of intimacy and togetherness thoughtfully interwoven.

Drawing from the client’s vision of Greek-inspired design with a minimalist sensibility, the residence celebrates subtlety and restraint. The raw beauty of stone is a constant thread, appearing throughout the home in textures that invite both touch and admiration. Organic elements and bespoke finishes enrich the interiors, creating an atmosphere that feels tactile, grounded, and deeply personal.

Each corner of the space reflects a story of craft and intention. Recycled wood imbues warmth and history, while custom detailing elevates even the smallest moments, from carefully designed hardware to curated furnishings. Antique pieces sourced from across Indonesia add an unmistakable layer of depth, bridging the home’s Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic with the cultural richness of its surroundings.

This residence is a sanctuary of contrasts, light and texture, simplicity and intricacy, coming together in harmony. It offers more than just a home; it’s an experience of living, where each element has been carefully chosen to evoke a sense of connection to nature, culture, and the art of craftsmanship.
